Honda Suspension & Steering Parts in South Africa

Honda built its South African reputation on engines that simply keep going — which means most of the cars we strip have far more life left in the drivetrain than in the suspension underneath it. Potholes, corrugated gravel and speed bumps taken at speed do the damage here, and bushings, ball joints, shocks and wheel bearings are the parts owners come looking for first. Getting them right is what turns a tired-feeling Civic or CR-V back into the car it was.

What sits in this category. We stock control arms (upper and lower, left and right), complete front strut assemblies and rear shock absorbers, coil springs, wheel bearings and hub assemblies, stabiliser bar links and bushes, ball joints, track control arm bushes, top mounts and dust boots. On the steering side we hold complete steering racks (hydraulic and electric power steering), power steering pumps, tie rod ends, inner tie rods and steering columns. For the Real Time AWD CR-V we also carry rear differentials, transfer cases, prop shafts and driveshafts. Every used component is stripped, washed and checked for play, weeping seals and corrosion before it goes on the shelf.

What Honda owners ask us for most

What Honda owners ask us for most. Front lower arm bushes and ball joints on the Civic and Ballade are our highest-volume suspension line by a distance — the clunk over a speed bump that owners describe is almost always one of the two. CR-V front struts and rear shocks tend to be replaced in pairs, and the Real Time AWD rear diff and prop shaft are steady sellers on higher-mileage examples. Jazz, Brio and Amaze bring in rear shock and rear beam bush work, usually alongside a set of front wheel bearings. Odyssey and Mobilio owners carry weight and full seats, so rear springs and shocks go faster on those. Prelude and S2000 run double wishbones all round and the arms are genuinely scarce — when a donor comes in we strip the corners complete and keep them together.

Which Honda models we cover. Suspension and steering parts ship regularly for the Civic, Ballade, Jazz, City, CR-V, Accord, Brio, Amaze, BR-V, HR-V and Mobilio, with FR-V, Odyssey, Prelude, CR-Z and S2000 parts stripped and stored as donor vehicles come through the yard. Honda changed arm geometry and strut mounts between generations even where the body looks similar, so give us your model, year and VIN and we will match the exact corner rather than guess.

Tell us which suspension & steering part you need and which Honda it is going on — we'll come back with availability and delivery.

The more specific the better. The engine code stamped on your block matches a part far more reliably than the model year does.

Suspension & Steering — Common Questions

Do you stock Real Time AWD parts for the Honda CR-V?

Yes — rear differentials, Real Time AWD transfer cases, prop shafts, front and rear driveshafts and the associated mounting hardware. AWD and front-wheel-drive CR-Vs use different rear subframe and suspension hardware, so send us your VIN and we will confirm which setup your car has before quoting.

How do I make sure I get the right shocks for my Civic or Ballade?

Send us the model, the year and ideally the VIN on WhatsApp. Honda ran different strut lengths and top mounts across generations, and front struts differ from rear shocks on every one of them. With the VIN we pull the exact corner — left front, right front, left rear, right rear — so nothing arrives half-right.

Are used steering racks safe to fit?

Yes, when they are checked properly. We look for weeping seals and pressure-test hydraulic racks, and we check for slop at the rack ends and inner tie rod sockets before anything is sold. Electric power steering racks are bench-checked for motor function. Every used steering component we sell carries a clear warranty — ask us for the terms when you quote.

My Jazz clunks over speed bumps. Where should I start?

Start with the front lower arm bushes, the ball joints and the stabiliser links — those three account for most of the front-end noise complaints we hear. Get the car on a lift and have someone lever each joint while you watch for movement. We keep all three in stock for the Jazz, so once your fitter has confirmed the culprit we can usually quote the same day.

Not sure which suspension & steering part you need?

Send us your model, year and VIN — or a photo of the old part — and we will confirm the exact fitment before anything ships.
