Honda Cooling System Parts in South Africa
A Honda engine will outlast almost everything bolted to it, but only if it stays cool. Highveld altitude, 35-degree summer afternoons and stop-start Joburg traffic are hard on radiators, water pumps and fans, and a cooling fault is the one thing that turns a bulletproof K24 or L15 into a cylinder head job. A tested replacement radiator or pump is the cheapest insurance you will ever buy for a Honda.
What sits in this category. We stock radiators for both manual and automatic cars (the automatic and CVT versions carry the built-in transmission oil cooler in the end tank), water pumps for the D-series, B-series, F-series, H-series, K-series, L-series and R-series engines, thermostats and thermostat housings, electric cooling fans and full fan shrouds, expansion tanks and pressure caps, complete coolant hose sets, engine oil coolers, and intercoolers and charge-air piping for the turbo and i-DTEC diesel cars. Air conditioning lives here too — compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves and receiver driers — because in a South African summer aircon is not optional.
What Honda owners ask us for most
What Honda owners ask us for most. Radiators are our single biggest cooling line, and Civic, Ballade, Jazz and City units move fastest simply because there are so many on the road. CR-V and Accord K24 cooling parts follow close behind, usually radiators, fans and thermostat housings. On the older timing-belt engines — the D-series, F-series and H-series in early Civic, Ballade, Accord and Prelude — the water pump is driven by the cam belt, so we sell those two together far more often than separately; doing one without the other is a false economy every time. The i-DTEC diesel CR-V and Accord bring in intercoolers, charge pipes and EGR coolers. S2000 and Prelude aluminium radiators are scarce and we hold them back for genuine enthusiast calls.
Which Honda models we cover. Cooling parts in regular rotation for the Civic, Ballade, Jazz, City, CR-V, Accord, Brio, Amaze, BR-V, HR-V and Mobilio, plus FR-V, Odyssey, Prelude, CR-Z and S2000 as donor supply allows. All used radiators, pumps and condensers are pressure-checked for leaks before they ship, and we photograph the actual item so you know exactly what is coming.

Cooling System — Common Questions
Does an automatic or CVT Honda need a different radiator?
Usually yes. Automatic and Honda Multi Matic CVT cars carry a transmission fluid cooler built into the radiator end tank, with two extra fluid lines running to the gearbox. A manual-car radiator will physically fit in many cases but leaves you with nowhere to cool the transmission fluid. Tell us whether your car is manual, automatic or CVT when you request the quote.
Do you stock A/C compressors for Honda models?
Yes — compressors, condensers, evaporators and expansion valves for the Civic, Ballade, Jazz, City, CR-V, Accord, BR-V, HR-V, Brio, Amaze and Mobilio. Every used compressor is bench-checked for clutch engagement and for oil weeping at the shaft seal before sale, and each one carries a warranty.
Should I replace the water pump when I do the timing belt?
On the belt-driven Honda engines — the D-series, F-series and H-series found in older Civic, Ballade, Accord and Prelude models — yes, always. The pump is driven off the same belt, so the labour to reach it is already paid for. Doing the belt and leaving an old pump in place means paying that labour twice when the pump lets go. The chain-driven K-series, L-series and R-series engines are a separate job.
Do you carry cooling parts for the diesel CR-V and Accord?
Yes — radiators, intercoolers, charge-air pipes, EGR coolers and hoses for the i-DTEC diesel cars. Diesel supply depends entirely on what comes through the yard, so message us with your model, year and engine code and we will tell you honestly what is on the floor right now.
Not sure which cooling system part you need?
Send us your model, year and VIN — or a photo of the old part — and we will confirm the exact fitment before anything ships.
