Honda Brake Parts in South Africa
Brakes are the one system on your Honda where there is no sensible way to cut corners. A pedal that has gone long, a shudder under braking, or an ABS warning light on the cluster all point at something in this category — and on a car with plenty of good years left in it, it is worth fixing properly. Dealer-removed used hardware paired with fresh wear items gives you original-fit braking without the dealer parts bill.
What sits in this category. We stock front and rear brake calipers (single and twin piston), vented front discs and solid or vented rear discs, brake pad sets, rear brake drums, shoes and wheel cylinders for the smaller cars that use them, brake boosters, master cylinders and reservoirs, ABS and VSA modulator units, ABS wheel speed sensors and reluctor rings, handbrake cables and levers, electric park brake actuators on the later CR-V and Civic, plus the small hardware that makes a proper job — slide pins, anti-rattle clips, dust boots and flexible brake hoses.
What Honda owners ask us for most
What Honda owners ask us for most. Front calipers and vented front discs for the Civic and Ballade are our most-requested brake items, usually because a seized slide pin has cooked one side. CR-V and Accord front and rear discs go steadily, and Odyssey and Mobilio brakes wear faster than owners expect because those cars are almost always loaded. Brio, Amaze and the earlier Jazz run rear drums, so we keep shoes, wheel cylinders and drum hardware for those. ABS and VSA units are matched by part number off a same-spec donor — that is the only way to keep fitment simple. Type R brake hardware is scarce and goes fast, so tell us early if that is what you are after.
Which Honda models we cover. Brake parts ship weekly for the Civic, Ballade, Jazz, City, CR-V, Accord, Brio, Amaze, BR-V, HR-V and Mobilio, with FR-V, Odyssey, Prelude, CR-Z and S2000 available as donor supply allows. Send us the VIN and we will confirm disc diameter and caliper type before anything is picked, because Honda ran more than one brake package on several models depending on trim and engine.

Braking System — Common Questions
Do you sell used ABS and VSA units for Honda?
Yes — ABS and VSA modulator units, plus wheel speed sensors and reluctor rings, for the Civic, Ballade, Jazz, City, CR-V, Accord, BR-V and HR-V. These come off running donor cars, are matched by part number, and carry a warranty. On older models a good used unit is often the only practical way to keep the car on the road at all.
Will a used ABS unit need coding when it is fitted?
Often it will need bleeding with a scan tool that can cycle the ABS pump, and on later cars with VSA the steering angle sensor needs a zero-point calibration afterwards. If we supply a like-for-like part number off a same-spec donor the fitment itself is straightforward. Check with your fitter before you buy so there are no surprises on the day.
Can I get brake parts for older Honda models?
Yes — we hold brake parts for older Civic, Ballade, Accord, Prelude and FR-V models, including rear drum hardware. Availability on the older shapes depends entirely on donor supply, so send us the model, year and VIN and we will check what is actually on the floor rather than promise something we do not have.
Do you stock rear drum brake components?
Yes — drums, shoes, wheel cylinders, springs and adjuster kits for the Brio, Amaze and the earlier Jazz and City models that use rear drums. It is worth replacing the springs and adjusters at the same time as the shoes; they are cheap items that cause most of the handbrake complaints we hear about afterwards.
Not sure which braking system part you need?
Send us your model, year and VIN — or a photo of the old part — and we will confirm the exact fitment before anything ships.
